This is small, maybe 9" x 12" and has confused me almost from the outset. It has lots of my traditionally appealing elements: horizon up, tunnel view, trees (mostly ambivalent/ambiguous limbs), something solid and something transparent, road...all symbolic though familiar. The style direction has me puzzled. I like some forms of realism ( I build on realism) but bending this to be loose is taking effort and thought....oh no!!!!!!!!!
Rx: think slowly, paint fast. I put this away two months ago and I think I can now go back to it! More later.
