40000+ page views! Thanks!

Somebody is looking although, generally, it is only the numbers I see.  Rarely do I get comments so for anyone wondering, I am not editing out all the bad reviews!!  Maybe there is something intimidating about the blog format or the public, infinite memory of the infointerweb consciousness that restrains people? Or, the language barriers?  A Canadian couple commented once in French and I had to write to them to ask for a translation. Ha!  The majority of views appear to come from English speaking nations.  US, UK, Australia but even then the viewers are pretty quiet.

Thanks for stopping in!

Gallery Updates/Springtime colors!

Last week I was chosen for membership at Gallery A3 in Amherst, Massachusetts.  This artist run cooperative gallery has a full-time membership of about sixteen painters, sculptors, photographers and installation artists.  I'm so pleased to be part of this group of professionals and look forward to the exhibition opportunities my participation will afford.

The gallery is located in the center of Amherst and participates in monthly Arts Night activities which include openings for A3 artists.   The members describe A3 as "Amherst's primary contemporary fine art gallery".

Here's a link: https://www.gallerya3.com/Home.html

I'll post any exhibit details as they are announced.

Some of my very recent work will be exhibited at Furchgott Sourdiffe Gallery in Shelburne, VT in a spring exhibit opening on May 26, 2017.  An artist's reception is scheduled for Friday, June 2, 2017 at a time to be determined.

I'll post details when available.

The Burlington Free Press recently featured three Vermont art galleries in an article which included a short video and two of my pieces on display at FS Gallery received very quick "footage".

In the grasp of Pothos

Detail
Charcoal on paper

The ancient Greeks deified cosmological structures and events in the natural world as well as the "sources" of what I would consider evolved human behaviors.  For years I have, in an on again/off again fashion, tried to learn more about what those Greek minds observed and made note of.  I believe that knowledge will make my life today richer and more abundant. On again, for now.
